On 4th April, the State Investigation Agency of India conducted raids at the residences of pro-freedom leaders, Bilal Sidique and Bashir Molvi, in Srinagar. The raids are part of India’s systematic crackdown on Kashmiri political leadership that advocates the right to self-determination[1].
The crackdown has included, among other human rights violations, prolonged illegal detentions, property seizures, expulsions from employment, custodial killings, harassment of the family members[2].
