On 8th of August, the National Investigation Agency carried out raids at multiple places in the Jammu and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir against members of a banned social welfare organization called Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat is known in Kashmir for setting up schools for the needy, creating infrastructures of support for the orphans and the widows, and other educational and welfare work.
