On 5th August, 32-year-old Manzoor Ahmed Lone, son of Mohammed Abdullah Lone, who was a resident of Kulgam area of Kashmir, received a bullet injury during the gunfight that broke out between Indian occupation forces and pro-freedom armed fighters. Manzoor was taken to the hospital after being injured, however, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. According to locals, however, Manzoor, who was a painter by profession and father of a two months old boy, was shot dead in frustration by the Indian troops after the armed fighters managed to escape.[4][5]
