On December 11th, the Indian administration in the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir announced that it is planning to create a digital database of all families of the valley, with each of them having a unique alpha-numeric code. The database will identify each and every family in Kashmir and would collect the basic data of each household, resembling the Israeli technologies of control in Palestine, through which the military occupation is automated and digitized.[5]
