Religious scholar and Imam of Masjid arrested by Indian authorities
On 3rd September, the Indian state arrested a local cleric in the Kashmiri region of Chenab Valley, 22-year-old Kashmiri, namely Abdul Wahid, and falsely labeled him as a “Pakistani agent”. The detainee was a teacher at a local religious school, Madeenatul Uloom Darasgah, where he used to teach kids the Holy Quran. The family of the detainee assert that Abdul Wahid had no connection with Pakistani government, and rejected the police’s claim that Abdul Wahid was working with “terrorist” organizations.
